Gina Trapp
Gina Trapp is a Professor of Food and Nutrition Environments within the Nutrition & Health Innovation Research Institute at Edith Cowan University. She is also a Stan Perron Charitable Foundation People Fellow, an Honorary Research Fellow at the Telethon Kids Institute and a Registered Public Health Nutritionist recognised by the Nutrition Society of Australia. Gina was also a former ARC DECRA Fellow and NHMRC ECR Fellow at the University of Western Australia.
Professor Trapp leads the Food Environments Team (29 research staff and students) at Edith Cowan University where she drives an innovative, multidisciplinary, award-winning research program investigating environmental-level influences on children’s dietary intake to help redress the nation's obesity epidemic (41 awards/prizes). The findings are being used to help create health-promoting communities that empower children and families to make better nutritional choices.
