Mel Robinson
Mel is a Nygarinyin and Gidja woman from the Kimberley region born in Derby and Mel spent her early years in Nallugunda on the Gibb River and Mel became a registered nurse and has worked in hospitals, policy and training spaces. As the Director Aboriginal Health at Child and Adolescent Health Service which manages Perth Children’s Hospital, Child and Adolescent Community Health and Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Mel’s priorities include creating culturally safe and welcoming spaces, increasing the Aboriginal workforce and education about ways to be culturally safe in delivery of clinical care.
