Luke Wolfenden

Prof Wolfenden is a behavioural and implementation scientist with the University of Newcastle funded through the NHMRC Investigator grant scheme, and is a member of the Hunter Medical Research Institute’s Population Health Research Program. He is Director of the ‘National Centre of Implementation Science’ and of the WHO Evidence Informed Policy Network at the University of Newcastle and co-Director of the Cochrane Thematic Group for ‘People, Health Systems and Public Health. He has a co-appointment at Hunter New England Local Health District where is responsible for the provision of chronic disease prevention services Professor Wolfenden’s research seeks to reduce community chronic disease through policy evidence syntheses; trials of interventions to reduce chronic disease risks; and testing strategies to increase adoption and implementation and scale-up of evidence-based interventions.
